[While Fern went to get Varians, Lance started organizing his stuff, or trying to. And noticed the mess on his face and he's int he process of wiping it off on his sleeve when he hears Varain's confused sounding hi. He freezes with his face smooshed against his sleeve and looks back at the screen.
Then he sees that Varian's corruption has gotten worse and his brows draw together. He opens his mouth to comment on it, then snaps it shut. Right, that was already talked about and also what if the vision helps somehow… if he can make it make sense. He starts shuffling through his papers, slinging his guitar over his shoulder. He looks and sounds kind of crazy and erratic as he does this, to be quite honest.]
Dude, no time to waste, I had a vision that totally blasted my brain and it makes like no sense to me but I jotted down what I could. Both of you were in it at some point. I think.
[He finds the page he's looking for and holds it up to the camera:]
[Fern is already feeling antsy by the down he's halfway down the stairs, unsure of how Varian will react, if he'll even remember him, if his corruption has gotten any worse. It's already gotten so horrendously awful that even the span of a few minutes might make a difference.
He gives his boyfriend a tiny nod, heading the rest of the way down the stairs and heading over to him so they'll both be in view for Lance. The entire time Fern looks nervous, anxious, giving Varian tiny concerned side glances, though when Lance shows the picture he just stops.
And stares.]
That... looks serious? [He thinks?? Oh Glob what is going on here? He's trying to make sense of the drawing when he blurts this next part out before catching himself.]
[At least the...art is a distraction from everything gnawing away at the back of his skull. He's kind of squinting at it, and he's honestly glad Fern asked that because it was definitely on his mind and he didn't know if that picture should mean anything or not. The fact Fern is as confused as he is is...oddly comforting. ]
Does the big toothy one have boobs?
[This is what happens when you share your art with two teenage boys, Lance. This is exactly what happens. ]
[Lance makes a face and pulls the drawing a bit away so he can look at it himself, then he points to the parts they're talking about. Now is probably not the time to get defensive, but truth is even he isn't sure what he was trying to draw.]
Dude, no! That's- farts don't even have a look, they're gas! And where are you seeing boobs? There's only one stick figure here!
I… I don't know what it is! It just looked like a dark blob! It was all whoosh bright flashes of color and boom, sound and music. And emotions, waaay too many emotions.
[His arms are flailing as he tries to describe what it all was and keeps feeling like he's falling short somehow. Not doing it true justice. But he barely understands what he experienced, he just knows it's heavy and it involves them. He points to the figure on the right.]
This is Fern, that's the only part that's clear to me. The rest is all this abstract junk that makes no sense, it just… hurts, man.
[He lets out a shuddered breath and starts sifting through the pages again. It may take him a minute or two to find what he's looking for, though.]

Is one of the stick figures farting?

Are you sure, dude? 'Cause it looks like there's two of 'em.
[Honestly, if Lance wasn't being so serious right now he'd assume this was a really good prank.]
What're we looking at if it's not all that stuff?

[Okay, no, he's getting distracted. And clearly, this is serious. If it wasn't, he's pretty sure Lance wouldn't have avoided a good solid boob joke. ]
Okay, sure. So Fern's right, what is it? Is...is it something we should be worried about? You- you sound pretty worried about it. What happened?
