★ First Impressions

♚ VISUAL: Fern appears to be a 15-16 year old boy that is on the short and noodley side, made entirely out of grass. Said grass has hardened or changed texture in accordance to certain body parts, such as his teeth (of which he is missing several from getting punched by monsters and biting rocks back when he was Finn), and gives him a scruffy look one wouldn't see with normal flesh. His hands resemble that of a normal human's but his feet consist of two pointed clawlike toes. The majority of his body is comprised of shades of green, though this hair is blond with a greenish tint. Hidden under his bear hat most of the time, Fern's hair is actually very long, resembling Finn's voluminous hair and reaching the ground with various flora and fungi growing in it. When he uses his grass body in an offensive fashion (wielding the grass swords, using his arms as grass whips/tendrils) there's a high-pitched whistling sound.
♚ FASHION: Fern's sense of fashion is absolutely terrible since he never moved past Finn's sense of fashion. He has an outfit made out of grass consisting of a t-shirt and shorts with a backpack, and what is supposed to be a bear hat, though he wears regular clothing as well. He is typically shoeless. As winter approached he expanded his wardrobe to warm clothing, with Mami Tomoe, Kurt Wagner and Will Graham influencing his style. Think lots of bulky sweaters in a variety of colours and patterns, and heavy-duty scarves, mittens, and so on. In summer he prefers shorts/ankle pants/capris/rolled up pants, and t-shirts.
♚ DEMEANOUR: Fern's a pretty active kid. He has a tendency to emote very openly, and his body reacts to his emotional state. When he's really upset he roots into the ground, and when he's happy more flowers grow in his hair and on his hat. When the Grass Demon exerts more influence over his personality he gets more monstrous: his eyes turn yellow and glow with slitted pupils, his teeth get pointy, his tongue gets forked and his voice has more of a hiss to it. His entire body takes on a sharper appearance as the pointiness of his grass gets more pronounced.
♚ SOUND: Fern sounds like this. His voice comes from the Grass Demon rather than Finn, so he no longer sounds like Finn. His VA is Hayden Ezzy.
♚ SCENT: Fern smells like a freshly mown lawn, plus whatever flora or fungi are currently growing on him.
♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: Fern's mind is a small, dark room filled with spiderwebs. His soul looks like Finn with the Grass Demon attached to his chest, puppeteered with webbing. There are two presences in his mind, Finn and the Grass Demon, the latter of which is completely inhuman. Fern also keeps a mental vault in which he represses things in his life he can't handle.

Needless to say, Fern's head is an absolute mess. Both Finn and the Grass Demon have their own independent thoughts that combine into the confused, angry, self-loathing mush that is Fern's thoughts. Because of his disjointed nature he often feels uncomfortably detached from things like his life and his body (neither of which feel like his), extreme emotional volatility, the urge to be violent, and a lot of anxiety and fear (particularly towards being a failure and being abandoned).
♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: His Grass Sword half was created by a wizard, and his Finn Sword half was created during an incident in a room that exists outside of every universe/reality. Stuck in timeloops that were caused via memories, the current Finn made contact with a previous Finn, causing a paradox and turning the latter into Finn Sword. The Grass Demon is some kind of unknown magical entity, referring to itself as "A curse? An emissary from beyond? Some kind of grass octopus-spider," indicating that it itself doesn't know what it is. It is the source of the Grass Sword and is what gives Fern his body. A description of the Grass Sword is available in the Enchiridion:

"Cursed with a mysterious autonomy, the Grass Sword is able to manipulate those who wield it, though its logic is difficult to parse. It dutifully assists Heroes in service of great, noble deeds, but often does so by taking creative license atypical of a sword, sometimes with little regard for the safety or wellbeing of the Hero.

A highly volatile instrument, the Grass Sword has been known to bind itself to certain individuals for life. This may be considered adorable, like a puppy following you around with a balloon tied to its tail, or terrifying, like a puppy with giant, venomous fangs embedded in your arm. If you find yourself bound to the Grass Sword, try to think of it as the first kind of puppy."

♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Go for it. He's a very affectionate person, though his low self-esteem and discomfort with his body often prevents him from being physically affectionate with people beyond those he is close to.
♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: ABSOLUTELY. Fern is uncomfortably comfortable with physical violence.
♚ RELATIONSHIPS: Open to anything developing naturally for both boys and girls Fern's age. Given Fern's Fernness a one-sided crush is way more likely than an actual relationship with anyone.
